崔红光博士长期从事植物病毒学教学和科研工作,围绕第一大植物RNA病毒科—马铃薯Y病毒科(Potyviridae)病毒的病原鉴定和侵染机理开展研究,重点解析病毒基因组高度变异区在抵御宿主免疫反应、调控寄主适应性以及拓延寄主范围中的新机制。相关科研成果以第一或/和通讯作者在专业权威SCI期刊《Annual Review of Virology》(2019),《Journal of Virology》(2016;2021),《Current Opinion in Virology》(2016),《Plant Biotechnology Journal》(2017),《Molecular Plant-Microbe Interaction》(2013),《Phytopathology》(2019;2020),《Frontiers in Microbiology》(2021)等发表论文17篇。主要学术贡献及影响:(1)拓宽对第一大植物RNA病毒科(马铃薯Y病毒科)新属、新种和新株系的认知。(2)马铃薯Y病毒科(Potyviridae)病毒侵染新机制。
