Introduction:

陈雨,20216月毕业于中科院深海科学与工程研究所海洋地质专业,主要从事第四纪古气候和沉积物物源研究。博士期间参与了“973”计划项目超深渊生物多样性和群落结构特征研究和国家自然科学基金面上项目2项。在Journal of Oceanology and Limnology,Journal of Paleolimnology以及Boreas等期刊发表了数篇论文。


Chen Yu, majoring in Geological Oceanography, graduated from Institute of Deep-sea Science and Engineering,Chinese Academy of Sciences in June, 2021. He focused on the research of paleoclimate in the Quaternary Period and provenance of sediments. When he was a Ph.D. student, he participated in two projects and they were Characteristics of Biodiversity and Community Structure of Ultra-Deep Abyss (973 Program) and General Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China respectively. He had published several papers in such journals as Journal of Oceanology and Limnology, Journal of Paleolimnology and Boreas.


摘要:由于高压、低温的极端环境,对于海沟特别是超过6000m的深渊海沟人们知之甚少。而俯冲带是大洋板块对汇聚型板块边界俯冲而产生的负地形具有特殊海底地形所导致的“漏斗效应”,造成了沉积物质向俯冲带底部的积聚和埋藏,拥有独特的环境。本研究取自雅浦海沟南段两侧的5根插管样D148-D152的沉积物进行详细的粒度、元素地球化学和环境磁学参数综合分析,探讨沉积物搬运的动力机制和形式,识别沉积物的具体来源。


Abstract:

Due to the extreme environment of high pressure and low temperature, the oceanic trenches, especially the abyssal trenches over 6000 meters, are little known to the public. The subduction zone is the negative relief created by the subduction of the oceanic plates to the convergent plate boundaries which has a “funnel effect” due to the unique seabed environment, resulting in the accumulation and burial of sedimentary materials at the bottom of the subduction zone. In this study, the sediments from five interpolated samples D148-D152 from both sides of the southern part of the Yap Trench were analyzed in detailinterms of granularity, geochemical characteristics and environmental magnetic parameters to explore the dynamic mechanisms and forms of sediment transportation and to identify the specific sources of sediments.
