The first 'Hainan University Chemistry and Chemical Frontier Crossing·Coconut Wind Forum' is successfully held.
From October 12 to 14, 2023, the"Hainan University Chemistry and Chemical Frontier Crossing · Coconut Wind Forum" sponsored by the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Hainan University is successfully held in the multi-functional conference hall of Siyuan School of our university.
Guest speakers of this forum include renowned experts and scholars from Peking University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Sun Yat-sen University, and Guilin University of Technology. The participants conduct in-depth elaboration and perspective sharing on the creation and analysis of functional solid materials, the development and structure determination of inorganic porous materials and incommensurate materials, the basic research and application development of carbohydrate drugs, and the design and synthesis of nano-carbon molecules. The conference was attended by nearly 100 people including teachers, doctoral students, master's students and undergraduates from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
The forum is chaired by Professor Manrong Li of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, and the opening speech is delivered by Professor XingLu as the dean of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.In the first part of the conference, Professor Xiaojun Kuang from Guilin University of Technology, Professor Junliang Sun from Peking University and Professor Jiaobing Wang from Sun Yat-sen University display their research progress in the development and structure determination of inorganic materials. Professor Qian Wan from Huazhong University of Science and Technology introduces his successful cases in the basic research and application development of carbohydrate drugs. In the second part of the conference, six young teachers from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Hainan University introduce their research progress to the participants. Professor Xinpei Gao introduces his research progress in energy storage and conversion. Professor Tieqiao Chen shows his work progress in the field of activation and conversion of carboxylic acids and their derivatives. Professor Yang Zhou introduces his case in drug release and the development and application of biomedical devices. Professor Yujie Zhou shows her latest research in the design of ultra-thin two-dimensional materials and the field of photocatalytic energy conversion. Professor Weijie Chi introduces his case in the field of quantitative design of functional fluorescent dyes. Professor Yanan Liu shows her research progress in the bionic preparation and application of high-performance membrane materials.
