Ⅰ. Introduction
Hainan University (HNU) was founded in 1958 on Hainan Island and is one of the first batch of universities on the world-class discipline construction list in China. It is jointly supported by the Ministry of Education and Hainan Province. HNU adheres to the school motto of "absorbing others’ strong points to achieve great success", promotes the spirit of "self-improvement, professionalism, virtue, and perseverance", and adheres to the overall discipline construction approach of "supporting and leading, winning with characteristics, high-level cooperation, and open-up and innovation" to catch up with and innovate in development. In December 2008, HNU was approved by the state to become a key construction university for the "211 Project". In 2012, HNU was included in the national "Revitalization Plan for Higher Education in the Central and Western Regions" and received construction support such as the "Basic Capacity Construction Project for Universities in the Central and Western Regions" and the "Comprehensive Strength Enhancement Project for Universities in the Central and Western Regions". In 2017, HNU was selected as one of national "world-class discipline" construction universities. In 2018, CPC Hainan Provincial Committee and Hainan Provincial Government made a major decision to "gather the strength of the whole province to run Hainan University". In the same year, Hainan University became a "jointly-built" university between the Ministry of Education and the Hainan Provincial Government, and was included in the university list directly under the Ministry of Education.
On April 13, 2018, at the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Hainan's establishment as a special economic zone, President Xi Jinping clearly stated that the government should "support Hainan University in developing world-class disciplines ". From then on, Hainan University has ushered in new historical opportunities.
The major of electronic science and technology at Hainan University was established in 2010. In order to meet the needs of Hainan Free Trade Port and national industrial development, HNU officially established the School of Electronic Science and Technology on June 4, 2023. HNU will follow the guidance of the new development concept, align with the national strategy and the needs of deepening Hainan's reform and opening up, accelerate the construction of first-class disciplines, focus on solving the "bottleneck" problem of national industrial development, and provide talent and technical support for the development of the national semiconductor integrated circuit industry.
The School of Electronic Science and Technology will focus on building secondary disciplines such as "Microelectronics and Solid State Electronics", "Circuits and Systems", and "Electromagnetic Field and Microwave Technology". The school has the master's degree authorization programs in integrated circuit engineering and relies on doctoral programs in electronic information to carry out the integrated discipline construction of "undergraduate, master and doctor". At present, the school has 2 national level talents and 17 high-level researchers of Hainan Province, all of whom hold doctoral degrees. The school has teaching and research platforms such as RISCV guided by the Office of Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, and Hainan Microelectronics International Cooperation Base. The school is constructing ICC in Haikou to serve the Hainan Free Trade Port. According to the needs of discipline construction and team building, the school decides to publicly recruit full-time teachers and talents at all levels from home and abroad. V. Salary and Welfare
1. The applicants who are in teaching and research posts enjoy relevant salary and welfare according to the level of introduction by the school, as shown in the table below.
2. Talent leaders or backbone teachers with outstanding scientific research abilities and excellent achievements in their respective professional fields can determine their salaries through a one-solution-for-one-person approach. The specific salary will be determined by the HNU's special recruitment committee based on the talent's research performance over the past five years and employment goals and tasks.
