Innovations for producing advanced medical diagnostic equipment, such as equipment for Smart Health and Precision Medicine, entail strong biomedical engineering. The discipline both caters to the advances in the development of innovative medical devices and the cross-fertilization of engineering with medical and science disciplines. In the QS World University Rankings, Biomedical Engineering has topped the "10 Most Popular Subjects in the United States" since 2012.

Admission category: The major of Electronic Information Engineering (Medical Information Technology and engineering) plans to enroll 30 students in 2020.The students will be trained according to the major of Biomedical Engineering after admission.
