1. Visual Communication Design
Training Objectives: The visual communication design program aims to blur the line between graphic design and spatial design, and transition from traditional paper-based media design to a fusion of art and technology through the integration of new technologies. The program is designed to cultivate students with a global design perspective who also have a deep understanding of local culture and characteristics, possess innovative design thinking, and have the appropriate design expression and communication skills on the basis of the “big design” platform. Graduates can master professional theoretical knowledge, related disciplines, and professional skills, becoming highly qualified composite application talents who can work in enterprises, design departments, schools, scientific research units, and engage in professional design, teaching, research, management and other areas. At the same time, it nurtures relevant professional talent that is in high demand for the development of Hainan International Design Island and Free Trade Port.

2. Painting Program
Training Objectives: Upon entering the school, students will be trained in professional directions such as oil painting, sculpture, Chinese painting, and comprehensive materials. The program places emphasis on the integration of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, organizing professional artistic practices and investigations, including visits to museums, art galleries, ethnic minority art exhibition halls, and other methods of learning. Additionally, students may conduct investigations and research on design institutions or participate in sketching and writing activities. The program pays particular attention to the meticulous investigation, excavation, and sorting of local folk customs, architecture, and art with local characteristics. Students will develop scientific cultural literacy, artistic theoretical knowledge, as well as the ability to create, teach, and research painting art. Graduates can work in teaching, creation, research, publishing, and management in the field of cultural arts, education, design, research, and publishing.
